Game designer of Toy Battle with Paolo Mori, he will be attending Play 2026

Born in Modena in 1964, he lives with his two children and two cats. Since he was a boy, he has been passionate about history and games of all kinds, from Subbuteo to Dungeons & Dragons, including wargames, which he has never given up on. In the early 2000s, he discovered the world of board games and, thanks to meeting Carlo Rossi, began trying to design games himself. In 2004, he won the unpublished game competition at Lucca Games and became a finalist at Premio Archimede. Thanks to this competition and the development of the game Valhalla, he had the opportunity to meet the team at Studiogiochi.

The following year (2005), together with Carlo and Alfredo Berni, they founded Cogito Studio, which later merged into Studiogiochi, continuing a fruitful collaboration for several years. His experience with the Venetian company ended in 2018, and beyond the published games and the enjoyable experience of serving on the selection jury for Premio Archimede, Studiogiochi was like a second family to Alessandro.

Around fifteen of his games have been published, notably Turi Tour, which was a finalist for the Kinderspiel des Jahres 2010, and this year Toy Battle, created in collaboration with Paolo Mori, triumphed at the As d'Or in Cannes.

You can meet Alessandro at the SAZ Italia stand, Hall 15 G3, and especially on Saturday the 23rd from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for the Celebration & Celebrity Championship of Toy Battle.
