Game Designer and Author will attend Play 2026

Andrea Carbone is an independent author who has been collaborating for years with Italian publishing houses, with a particular focus on role-playing games. Among his works are Hawat (Acchiappasogni), Must be a Dragon (Isola di Ilyon Edizioni), and several independent projects such as the solo journaling game Laika and Exodus.

In recent years, he has been exploring the potential of games as educational tools and as a means of raising awareness on social issues. Projects in this direction include Exodus, a role-playing game focused on migration in the Mediterranean and winner of the Play Ethic 2023 award, his newsletter Educare Giocando, and the organization of the contest “A Game for Palestine,” aimed at supporting humanitarian initiatives in the Gaza Strip.

At Play 2026, in addition to attending the contest’s award ceremony, he will present a new, unpublished role-playing game with the publisher Narrattiva: Haiku.
