Creator of the indie wargaming event TurnipCon, will attend Play 2026
Ben Lonsdale is the creator of the indie wargaming event TurnipCon, launched in 2023. It is the largest event celebrating the free tabletop wargame Turnip28, with more than 80 attendees.
Alongside TurnipCon, Ben Lonsdale is also the organiser of an independent wargaming convention called SPRU, which brings together small-scale artists, game designers, sculptors, and creatives in a single space for the public to meet and discover.
Ben Lonsdale is a chronic organiser of games both large and small, and works in event and project management to pay the bills.
He lives on the south coast of the UK, within walking distance of a beach, and drinks too much tea.
