Artist, will be attending Play 2026

Dany Orizio began drawing long before he could speak, and from that moment it became his primary form of expression.

He started his artistic journey in Street Art, then attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Milan), where in 1994 he began collaborating with Studio Horley-Parente on Italian and international role-playing games such as Mutant Chronicles, Chronopia, Steampunk, Shadowrun, Warhammer 40000, Dune, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

He later moved into freelance work, becoming one of the first Italian artists to illustrate cards for Magic: The Gathering, Harry Potter, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and KeyForge.

He has collaborated with Disney (coloring for Mad Sonja, Ratatouille, Meet the Robinsons), Bonelli (Dampyr, Dragonero RPG and videogame), Mondadori (Goosebumps, Super Brividi, Myths & Legends, Young+9), Soleil (La Dernière Ligneé), Panini Spain (Fantasy Riders), as well as advertising campaigns for Saiwa (Fonzies and Cipster) and Bionike.

He has illustrated board games such as Dark Tales, Meteors, and Gear Up, and contributed to video game magazines including PSMania, PlayMag USA, and Rocket Mag. He has also collaborated with Shock Studio and worked on RPGs such as Dungeon World and Drakonia.

He is part of the Lords For the Ring collective, contributing to calendars for the Italian Tolkien Society.

He continues to nurture his more experimental underground side through self-produced concept art and design projects such as Kustom Lolitaz, Monsters Creator, and the T-shirt line FreakArolla.

For the past fifteen years, he has taught Illustration, Concept Art, and Digital Art at two branches of the International School of Comics, and for five years he served as Lead Concept Artist for CMON on the Zombicide series and other properties.

Since 2025, he has joined Boose’s roster for Magic events and created the official poster for the Damnation TCG Fest 2026.
