Model Builder and Miniature Painter Will Be at Play 2026
Hello everyone, my name is Davide Linari.
I first approached the world of scale modeling around twenty years ago, starting with cars, motorcycles, and aircraft, before focusing on what I truly love most: models inspired by Japanese animation, such as Captain Harlock, Mazinger Z, Gundam, and many others.
My passion for modeling has always pushed me to stay curious, and in 2014 I also discovered the world of miniatures, becoming involved with universes such as Warhammer.
Over the years, I challenged myself by participating in several events and competitions, including NKGC at Lucca Comics & Games and Grog. More than winning medals, I have always taken part to receive constructive feedback and to engage with professional modelers and miniature painters.
In recent years, I have also had the privilege of joining important groups and communities such as NKGC, Araldi, and Lucca Model Hobby.
In 2024, during the NKGC competition held at Lucca Comics & Games, I had the great honor of receiving a special award personally presented by Shōji Kawamori, the renowned Japanese anime director, creator, and mecha designer.
Kawamori is especially known for his work on Macross, Captain Harlock, General Daimos, Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Aquarion, Eureka Seven, as well as the Armored Core video game franchise.
Davide will be present with the Collettivo Araldi every day at Play Festival del Gioco 2026.
