Paolo D’Indinosante holds a PhD in English Literature from Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Silesia in Katowice.

He is an elected board member of the Italian Digital Games Research Association and serves on the steering committee of the international conference Games and Literary Theory (GamesLit).

His research focuses on the relationship between literature and video games, with particular attention to intermedial adaptation processes. He has participated in numerous conferences dedicated to game studies, presenting papers on topics such as video game localization and the representation of gender and sexual orientation in video games.

He has published both academic and popular contributions on video game culture, including work on the influence of Oscar Wilde on video games. Together with Robin Zingarelli, Nicole Braida, and Mark Maletska, he is co-editing a special issue of the journal G|A|M|E titled “Queer and Trans Game Studies in Global and Local Contexts.”

He actively promotes dialogue between academic research and the public through teaching and outreach activities carried out in collaboration with universities, schools, and social promotion associations in Rome.
