Game designer of Toy Battle with Alessandro Zucchini, he will be attending Play 2026
He is among the most recognized and versatile designers in both the Italian and international board game scene. Over more than 20 years of career, his passion for board games has become a true workshop of ideas, leading him to publish more than thirty titles. Among his best-known and award-winning games are Augustus, finalist for the Spiel des Jahres 2013 and winner of the Italian Game of the Year award, Dogs of War, Insoliti Sospetti, Pandemic: Fall of Rome, Libertalia, and Captain Flip, nominated for the prestigious Spiel des Jahres 2024 and for the As d'Or in 2025. Most recently, Toy Battle, co-designed with Alessandro Zucchini, earned him the prestigious As d'Or 2026 recognition.
In 2025, he founded Ingenioso Hidalgo, an independent publishing house that has already gained attention thanks to the success of its titles Battlefields of the Napoleonic Wars and the gamebook Un Altro Passo nella Neve written by Manuele Giuliano.
He also actively collaborates in organizing the IDEAG project, which aims to bring game designers together into a community where he shares his experience with aspiring authors.
