The lust for power guides the choices of many Babylonians, but there are many who are so idealistic, or so foolish, to follow the paths of honor. What every inhabitant of the City remembers is that one must always venerate the gods in every day of one's life with tributes and prayers, because there is nothing more ignoble and lethal than being declared atheist. The City is a multicolored jumble of races and buildings where the most disparate technologies coexist with primitive cultures. From all the temporal continuums different creatures are attracted and seized by the Tower of Celestial Sapientia, thus becoming Babylonians in all respects, and bringing their knowledge and culture to the City. On the planet Kronhos therefore you will be able to walk alongside barbarians who carry two-handed swords tied behind their backs and shiny pistols hidden in their boots. You will be able to come from any place or time to venture through the impervious streets of the Immortal City. Technology exists, but it is little used because it does not always work, given that corruption dwells even in the purest materials. There are few madmen who disrespect a Priest, since the power of priests is great; even fewer who laugh at a Wizard, since the elemental forces bend to his will.
